Wayne E. Arnold, 76, of Gurnee passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at home with his family by his side. He was born on September 15, 1935 in Bells, Tennessee to the late Lee Thompson and Florence (Nichols) Arnold.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sue Arnold; two children, Timothy (Barbara) Arnold of Woodstock, IL and Melissa (David) Kearschner of Gurnee, IL; four grandchildren, Megan Carlyon, Alyson Kearschner, Heather Syslo and Eric Scherzer; two great-grandchildren, Ava Syslo and Hunter Syslo; two sisters, Sara (Clyde) Spitzer and Helen (Eldon) Laman both of Huntingdon, TN; two brothers, Melvyn (Pauline) Arnold of Paris, TN and Barry (Donia) Arnold of Seymour, TN.
Wayne was a United States Army veteran. He served as an elder at the Lakeview Church of Christ in Chicago until his health declined. He worshiped at Zion Church of Christ for the last ten years.
Visitation will be Friday, July 27, 2012 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL. Funeral services are Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 10:00am at the funeral home with Roger Putman officiating. Burial will follow at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee, IL.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mission Fund at Zion Church of Christ, 2340 Lewis Avenue, Zion, IL 60099.
