Vanessa Davis Coleman (Bradshaw), 56, passed away June 22, 2016 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Vanessa was a very caring person with a beautiful spirit and a heart of gold. She made a positive impact on anyone she interacted with. Vanessa was born on October 16, 1959 to William and Virginia Davis in Chicago, and was a lifelong resident of the Waukegan area. Vanessa was a 1979 graduate of North Chicago High School. She was employed by the Waukegan School District for many years, where she met many dear friends. Vanessa leaves to cherish her memory, husband, David Coleman, Jr. of Waukegan, son, Kevin Bradshaw, Jr., of Las Vegas, step-daughter, Nigel Robinson of Chicago, grandsons, Andre Bradshaw, Jr. of Las Vegas and Phalair Carter of Chicago, granddaughter, Nurye Carter of Chicago, brother, Virgil Davis of Waukegan, step-son, Timothy Smith of Waukegan, former husband, Kevin Bradshaw, Sr. of North Chicago, special lifelong friends, Debra Bradshaw and Cynthia Ross, and many other relatives and loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents and beloved son, Andre Bradshaw, Sr. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11am at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee with Apostle Ernest Taylor officiating. Visitation is from 10am-11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Warren Cemetery in Gurnee. Condolences at www.warrencemetery.com.
