Terry Swanson

Terry E. Swanson, 61, of Waukegan passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 in Libertyville. He was born on July 19, 1948 in Iron Mountain, MI to William and Paula (Rhines) Swanson. On October 10, 1970 in Rockford, IL, Terry married Merrijo "Jo" Meyer. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Jo Swanson; daughter, Erin Swanson of Arlington Heights; son, Adam Swanson of Waukegan; two sister-in-laws, Bette Anderson of Arizona and Sandy (Ron) Wishard of Davis, IL; nephews, Bryan (Stacy) Wishard, Rick (Brenda) Wishard and Steve (Amy) Wishard; niece, Stacy (Randy) Bowsman; numerous great nieces and nephews; one great great niece and aunts, Gerri, Barbara and Marjorie. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Nicole Swanson, brother, Scott Swanson, two nephews, Jeff Wishard and Tom Anderson, brother-in-law, Bob Anderson, Aunt Marilyn and one niece, Robin. Terry worked at OMC for over twenty years as computer manager and also at McCarthy Distributors in Green Oaks as a warehouse manager. He loved cooking, the koi pond in his backyard, enjoyed playing tennis and was a sports fanatic. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 10 am until 11 am at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services will take place at 11 am following the visitation on Saturday. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the family.
