Terry Sandley

Terry L. Sandley, age 72, passed away at Journey Care in Barrington, IL surrounded by his family on October 4, 2017. Terry was born to the late Felix and Macie (Carter) Sandley on September 1, 1945 in Andalusia, Alabama.

Surviving Terry is his wife, Josephine Sandley of 36 years; his son, Terry Ballinger of Camden, Ohio; one brother Joe (Gwen) Sandley of Sarasota, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews. Also preceding Terry in death was his sister Betty Sandley.

SFC Terry L. Sandley was a decorated retired, proud US Army Veteran. He received the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm Professional Development Ribbon, and Army Service Ribbon.

Friends and family may visit at the Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, Illinois 60031, on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 1:00-2:00PM. Services will begin at 2:00PM with Fr. James Merold presiding. Interment will take place on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd., Elwood, Illinois 60421, at 2:00PM. Military Honors will take place graveside.
