Teofilo Rosa

Teofilo Napalit de la Rosa, 88, of Beach Park, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013 at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion. He was born on February 29, 1924 in the Philippines to Marcelino and Lorenza (Napalit) de la Rosa. On January 27, 1950 in the Philippines, Teofilo married Edita Gervacio. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Edita de la Rosa; children, Rogelie (Ken Spangler, Sr.) de la Rosa and Rene (Sylvia) de la Rosa; grandchildren, Rensyl (Jimmy) Macling, Ray Ian de la Rosa, Regin Keith de la Rosa and Rachelle Samantha de la Rosa; great grandchildren, Jiolo Macling, Julius Macling, Renee Juli Macling, Jiana Orly Macling and Randall Drake de la Rosa; brother, Mariano (Maria) de la Rosa; sister, Teofista Tipan and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Meliton Napalit, Querico de la Rosa, Lito de la Rosa and Nicanor Napalit; sisters, Aquilina Tenebro and Antonia Arpon. Teofilo loved life, was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed dancing, music, sports, especially the Chicago Bulls, and he loved to play billiards. Visitation is Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 4-8pm at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services are Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Fr.
