Sosamma Jokutty

Sosamma Jokutty (Marykutty) passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020.  She was born to the late C.E. Kurian and Achamma Kurian on November 13, 1949.

Marykutty graduated from St. Stephen Nursing College in Delhi, India and worked at Safdarjung Hospital as a Nursing Supervisor before coming to America in 1996. She devoted her life caring for her family and friends.  She loved knitting sweaters for the youngest members of her family, and enjoyed her daily ritual of watching “Wheel of Fortune”.

Marykutty is survived by her husband S.M. Jokutty; three children: Julie and her husband Joe, Jenu, Kurian and his wife Ansu; two grandchildren:  Lucas and Daniel.  She is survived by her siblings C.K. Easo and his wife Saramma Easo; Anamma (Annie) and her late husband K.P. Jose; Sosamma (Susy) and her husband Sajan Mathew; Job Kurian; Sheela Thomas and her husband P.T. Thomas; and Alice Reji and her husband Reji Thomas.

Marykutty is predeceased by her siblings C.K. Abraham (Babu), C.K. Ninan (Raju), and C.K. Kuriakose (Benny).

Unfortunately, due to the unprecedented circumstances that are upon us, funeral services will not be open to the public.

Burial will be at Warren Cemetery.
