Sheryl Nelson

Sherry was a devoted mother and a woman deeply committed to her family, friends, and pets.

She grew up in North Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Warren Township High school Illinois. Upon graduation, she worked as a bookkeeper at a Hospital, managed a family-run insurance agency, and then went back to school and earned a CNA certificate and worked in nursing homes in North Dakota. Sherry's joys in life were crafting, gardening, traveling, taking care of her grandchildren, and cooking. She took pride in working hard and taking care of others.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward C. and Theresa M. Cliff, and her brothers Steven, Michael, and Eddie.

She is survived by her sister Laurie Tipton, her children George Thornton, Scott Nelson, Richard Nelson, Jennifer Grubbs, and Theresa Mugerditchian and grandchildren Jacob, Eric, George, Caroline, Evan, Ian, Mason, Ryan, Wyatt and Avril.

Inurnment will take place at Warren Cemetery and Mausoleum 1495 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, Illinois 60031.
