Ruth Bromstead

Ruth M. Bromstead, 75, of Waukegan, IL died April 1, 2010 in Zion, IL. Mrs. Bromstead was born in Waukegan on February 15, 1935 and was retired from Waukegan West High School Cafeteria and Cub Foods Bakery. An avid crafter and gardener, she won many Blue Ribbons from the Lake County Fair. Her crowning glory was when she got a Bird of Paradise to bloom. She is survived by her three children, Timothy of Waukegan, Kevin of Waukegan and Michele (Daniel) Hummel of Waukegan; one son-in-law, Ray Hunter of Paletine; two grandchildren, Lindsey Jo Bittner of Paletine and Joshua Hummel of Waukegan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard in 1989, her daughter, Lori and one grandson, Andrew. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 11am until 12pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 12 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Inurnment is at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee.
