Rubye Jane Shorman

Our mother Rubye Jane Shorman (Warner), age 87, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2024. She was born in Louisville, Mississippi. She married Louis Shorman on August 18, 1956. They were happily married for 54 years until the passing of Louis on October 20, 2010. She is survived by her children Cindy West, Mary Garcia, George (Lois) Shorman; her loving grandchildren Joshua, Eveanne, Louis, Pablo (Jennifer), Rebecca, Nora (Rigoberto); 15 great-grandchildren; and sisters Shirley, Kendall, and Diane. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis, daughter Margaret Ann, siblings Jean, Buddy, and Johnny, and her parents Carlos and Mozell Warner.

She was a strong and hardworking woman. It was the simple things in life that made her happy. She loved planting her flowers and watching them grow. The animals at the bird feeder always kept her amused. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and looked forward to their visits.

Mom, your hugs meant the world to us. Nobody else held us so tight or made us feel so right. No ones eyes shined so bright with love like our mom, who is now high above. Mom you may be gone, but you will never be forgotten. For you are our shining star who brings light to our eyes.
