Rose Semmerling

June 6, 1925 — February 4, 2013

Rose Semmerling, 87, of Lincolnshire, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013. She was born June 6, 1925 in Chicago. On August 28, 1948, Rose married Larry Semmerling.

Survived by her two loving daughters, Kathleen Semmerling and Julie (Brad) Treger; grandchildren, Christine (Jason Bucar) Kloepfer, Eric Semmerling and Gabby Semmerling; great-grandchildren, Keegan and Brayden Bernolak, Tessa and Taya Bucar and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose Marek; husband of 63 years who passed away January 2, 2012, Larry Semmerling and her brothers and sisters.

Rose was an avid golfer, a longtime member of Thorngate/Ivanhoe Country Club in Illinois and Pelican Preserve Country Club & Community in Florida. She was a loving mother, our best friend, and adored by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A gathering will be Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 12-2pm at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Memorial services will follow on Saturday at 2pm at the funeral home. Interment is private.
