Rose Colon

Rose M. Colon, 103, of Grayslake passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Thrive of Lake County in Mundelein. She was born February 22, 1918 in Puerto Rico to parents Ramon and Tecla. A beloved mother and grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs. She worked until her retirement at age 62 when she began babysitting many of her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her daughters: Aida L. Colon and Olga M. Shelton; 2 brothers and a sister. She is survived by her children: Edwin L. (Estella) Colon, Juan Colon, Brenda J. Tamez, Larry Colon, Helen Colon; 20 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of service at noon on Tuesday, August 31 at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee. Burial will be at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville
