Rome Cenell Smith, 13, of North Chicago was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 17, 2011 in Glendale Heights, IL. He was born on November 22, 1997 in Libertyville, IL. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Kritisha (William) Smith; father, Marcus (Kyria) Rogers; brothers and sisters, William Wright, Rana Wright, Janna Wright, Marcus Rogers, Jr., Breeonna Rogers, Jacques Rogers, Amariyonna Rogers, Armone Rogers, Isreal Rogers and Tania Rogers; maternal grandparents, Mary (Timothy) Smith; paternal grandparents, Macord Rogers and Mamie Porter; aunts and uncles, Latricia (Julius, Jr.) Gaines, LaWanda Funchess, Mekiah Mims, Colleen (David) Shaw, Chalise Smith, Kendria (Frederick) Smith, David Nelson, Latasha Rogers and Charity Rogers; great-aunts and great-uncles, Paula (Herbert) Beyers, Michael Smith, Alfred Balentine, II, Robert Balentine, Emmit Balentine and many cousins, great-cousins and dear friends that will keep Rome close to their hearts. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Larry Cenell Smith, aunts, Vanessa Smith, Gwendolyn Love; great-aunts and great-uncles, Amanda Balentine, Carolyn Wyatt, Maryann Smith, Joyce Smith, Columbus Smith, Anthony Smith and Kenneth Smith.
Family and friends may meet on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 10:00am until 11:00am at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 11:00am at the funeral home. Pastor Eugene Roberson from First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church in North Chicago will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee.
