Robert Milton Riggin Jr., longtime resident of Waukegan and native to Baltimore, Maryland died on Sunday, the 11th of July, 2021. Throughout his life he surrounded himself with family, and he died peacefully with them by his side. Born on August 1, 1942, Bob lived a full life. Bob served his country and retired from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer, was a devout follower of Christ, and a world traveler.
He was a devoted family man, a member of Gurnee Community Church and a member of the Gideons International.
Robert is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Judith Lora Sprague and his 6 children, Margaret (Ernesto) Hinojosa, Robert (Marlee) Riggin III, John (Theresa) Riggin, Thomas (Beatriz) Riggin, Kenneth (Pamela) Riggin, and Lora Riggin. Robert was blessed with 19 grandchildren, and also was a great-grandfather.
Although he is no longer on this earth, the family is at peace knowing he is in the arms of the Lord. Services to honor the life of Robert Riggin will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:00 am at Warren Cemetery located at 1475 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in his name to the Gideons International at www.gideons.org.
