Robert Mjelde

Robert (Bob) Emil Mjelde, devoted husband, Father and grandfather passed away on March 29, 2015. Bob served in the Army from 1952-54 and as a reserve until 1960. He was employed by Illinois Bell Telephone, advancing from climbing poles to office manager during his 30 year career. He was greatly respected by all who worked with him and loved by all who met him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Elizabeth Mjelde, siblings, Donald, Shirley, Edward and Nancy, his wife Norma and son Douglas. He is survived by his brother Ken, sister Barbara and his sons Robert and Chuck (Patricia) Mjelde, daughter Marlea (Ken) Martin, grandchildren Valerie and Conner Martin, Payton and Brandon Mjelde and many nieces and nephews. A service will be held for Bob on Tuesday, March 31st at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Visitation at 10:00 am, service following at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Warren Cemetery, Gurnee.
