Randy Lee Novak, 24, of Waukegan went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at University of Chicago Medical Center. He was born on January 17, 1992 in Waukegan to Timothy Novak and Donna Poindexter. Randy was a strong, strong, faithful fighter from the beginning to the end. No matter who he met, he left an imprint on their lives, and will always be loved and missed. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his mother and step-father, Donna (Delano Meriweather) Poindexter; fiancé, Sabrina Phillips; brothers, Delano Jordan and Jalen Meriweather; maternal grandmother, Linda Smith; paternal grandmother, Lillian Damron; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his dog, Cash, which was his baby. He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Novak, and his maternal grandfather, John Smith. Visitation is Friday, April 1, 2016 from 6pm-10pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services are Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10am with visitation from 9am-10am at Jesus Name Apostolic Church, 208 Lake St., Waukegan with Pastor John I. Caples officiating.
