Paul Garven

Paul Garven, 72, of Lindenhurst, IL passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, in Wilmette, IL.

He was born on March 23, 1949, to Floyd and Julanne (Aamodt) Garven in Waukegan, IL.

After attending Warren High School, Paul went on to serve in the United States Navy, and eventually retired from the Postal Service. Paul’s hobbies were movies and reading, along with enjoying time with family and friends (and of course his love for the Cubs).

He is survived by his sons, Brian (Sarah) and Aaron Garven; his brothers, John (Pam) and Jim (Jan) Garven; and 3 grandchildren Claire, Ethan, and Brooke Garven.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021, at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL 60031. Graveside committal and military honors will be held on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at Warren Cemetery.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in accordance with current State of Illinois mandates, all guests will be required to wear a face mask while in the funeral home.
