Patricia Machak

Patricia Ann Machak, 86, of Grayslake, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Lake Forest Hospital.

She was born on August 16, 1934 to Savino and Mary (Ratey) Gallegos in Waukegan, IL, and on September 6, 1958 she married her husband of 62 years, Edward Machak. She worked for many years for the Waukegan Police Department and was involved with the Slovenic Home in Waukegan, the Catholic Women’s League, and Zip Fitness in Round Lake Beach.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Edward; her son, Tim (Blanca) Machak; her daughters, Cindy (Paul) Sullivan and Deb Machak; her grandchildren, Sabrina (Pedro) Campos, Kristina (Michael) Holst, Sara Machak, Ryan Sullivan and Kelsey Sullivan; her brother, Rudy (Uin) Gallegos, along with 10 great-grandchildren and 7 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Catholic Charities.

Services will be private.
