Patricia M. Beyers, 85, passed away on Tuesday June 12, 2018 at Hearthstone Manor in Woodstock, IL.
She was born on May 11, 1933 in Chicago, IL to the late William and Margaret (Nessler) Jansen.
On August 30, 1952 she married Richard Leonard Beyers. He preceded her in death in January 1988. Patricia enjoyed playing the piano and organ along with teaching choir at St. Leonard's Lutheran Church in Mundelein, Illinois. She studied voice coaching from the world famous opera singer and performer the late Rosa Raisa in Chicago, Illinois for preparation in her opera career in Italy. She taught voice coach lessons, piano and organ lessons for many in the Lake County, Illinois area. She was a member of the Lyric Opera Guild in Chicago, Illinois and performed frequently in her singing career with the Choral Dynamics Group in the Chicagoland area. Her singing career spanned over 65 years with performances both for various television and radio broadcasts in Chicago.
Patricia is survived her children; Joseph R. (Veronica) Lee, Linda Varney, Joyce (Earl) Murray and Daniel (Dana) Beyers, her grandchildren; Kristen (Brandon) Zdany, Brittney Beyers, Kyle Beyers, Jon (Jennifer) Groh, Melissa (Scott) Sowinski and Nicholas (Sarah) Varney, her great grandchildren; Jordin (Billie) Oudschoorn, Jonathan Thomas Groh, Sierra Varney and Tyler Sowinksi, her great-great grandchildren London and Stella Oudschoorn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Richard M. Beyers, her sister Beatrice Lindeman and her brother William Jensen.
Visitation will be held on Sunday July 29, 2018 from Noon to 4:00 P.M. at Warren Funeral Home located at 1475 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL 60031. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The family is being assisted by Warren Funeral Home.
