Oliver Oakley Sr.

Oliver Ray Oakley Sr., 80 of Beach Park, IL passed away on Sunday December 16, 2018 at Presence Holy Family Hospital in Des Plaines, IL.

He was born on June 28, 1938 to the late Raymond and Vona (Mitchem) Oakley.  At the age of 17 he joined the U.S. Army.  On July 1, 1976 he married the former Doris Jones in Waukegan, IL.  Oliver retired in 1978 from the U.S Postal Service in Waukegan.  He enjoyed painting portraits and animals.

Oliver is survived by his wife, Doris, his children, Jodie (Michael) Cain, Kimberly Moyer, Kevin Moyer and Kala (Vincent) Lelong, his grandchildren, Maggie, Trevor and Matthew Cain, Jacqueline and Brian Cashmore, his sister Patricia Wates, his brother Charles Oakley and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his children, Oliver R. Oakley Jr., Charles Oakley and John Oakley.

There will not be any services at this time.
