Nick Vincich, age 85, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, to parents Martha Kosanovich Vincich and Pete Vincich, Serbian immigrants from the former Yugoslavia. He attended Aliquippa High School and Slippery Rock University. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church in Aliquippa and the former St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Waukegan, Illinois.
He married his beloved wife, Carolyn, and together they shared over 57 years of marriage. In addition to Carolyn, he is survived by son, Peter (Amanda) Vincich, Spokane Washington, daughter, Paula (Robert) Randall, grandsons, Nicholas William Randall and Alexander Peter Randall, Gurnee, Illinois; sister, Jennie K. Zakovich, brother Milo Kosanovich, sister-in-law, Margarita Kosanovich, numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends; the Kulmala, Savic, and Popovic families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by brother, Bronc Kosanovich, sister, Anne K. Gordon, infant sister, Bertha Kosanovich, sister-in-law, Mary Ann Kosanovich and brother-in-laws, Nick Zakovich and James Gordon.
Nick was happiest when surrounded by his grandsons, family and friends and his kind and generous spirit was felt by many. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation shall take place at Tatalovich Funeral Home, 2205 McMinn Street, Aliquippa, Pennsylvania on Friday, November 10 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM with pomen service at 6:30PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:30AM on Saturday, November 11 at St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church, 2200 Irwin Street, Aliquippa, Pennsylvania with internment to follow at St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Cemetery.
