Nancy Carlson

Nancy Carlson, 83 of Gurnee, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at her home.

She was born on July 8, 1938, in Waukegan, IL to Carter and Nora (Reideler) Scott. On February 25, 1967, Nancy married the love of her life, David and spent almost 51 years together until his passing in 2018.

After graduating from Waukegan High School in 1956, Nancy spent time as an operator at Illinois Bell, along with 25 years as an Avon Representative.  Throughout her life Nancy was involved with Bible groups through church, and the Gurnee Women’s Club.  She enjoyed spending time at their cabin in the Northwoods, baking treats, crafting, going to lunch with friends, and above all she loved spending time with her family.

Nancy is survived by her two daughters, Heather (Mike) Kerrigan and Robyn (Mike) Bukantis; her two granddaughters, Megan and Amy Kerrigan; brother, Alfred (Marlene) Scott; and sister-in-law Lois Scott.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David; and her brother Richard Scott.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 22, 2022, beginning at 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at Gurnee Community Church, 4555 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee, IL 60031. Interment will be in Warren Cemetery.
