Michael “Wally” Wallseck, 57 of Grayslake, IL passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
He was born on August 25, 1961 to John Michael “Mike” and Joann (Allard) Wallseck in Chicago, IL. He married the former Ellen Schwartz on September 17, 1994. Michael graduated from the Notre Dame High School for Boys. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Northeastern University as well as a Masters in Business Administration from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He was employed by Kraft Foods until illness prevented him from working. Despite health issues he enjoyed life to the fullest by volunteering at the local golf course, playing golf and cards with “The Poker Boys” and traveling with his wife Ellen. He had a love of local sporting teams especially The Chicago Blackhawks and The Chicago Bears.
Michael leaves behind his loving wife of 24 years, Ellen, and their only child, a 14-year old Italian Greyhound named Vegas. He also leaves behind his sister, Catherine “Cathy” McKenzie, her husband Charles “Chuck” McKenzie and their children, his much-loved niece and nephews, Paige, Spencer and Travis McKenzie.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Warren Funeral Home located at 1475 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL.
Services, which everyone is welcomed to attend, will be on 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
