Micah James Silasiri, 16 months, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 after a courageous 10 month battle with leukemia. He was born on May 1, 2010 in Lake Forest.
He is survived by his loving parents, James and Jennifer (Crisanti) Silasiri of Gurnee; paternal grandparents, Jim and Jeanine Silasiri of Elmhurst, maternal grandparents, Chuck and Linda Crisanti of Mt. Prospect; maternal great-grandparents, Floyd and Janet Bennett of Sterling, IL; aunt, Jenny Silasiri of Chicago and uncle, Charlie (Christine) Crisanti of Madison, WI.
Micah loved Sesame Street, especially Elmo. He loved unconditionally, went through unimaginable pain, but still managed to smile, share, engage with people, wave goodbye and blow kisses to the doctors and nurses. Everyone who met Micah loved him. He will always be loved and remembered.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2011 from 5-8 pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 10 am with one hour of visitation prior to services at Bethel Lutheran Church, 5110 Grand Ave., Gurnee with Pastor Ben Squires officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville, IL.
In honor of Micah's memory, memorial donations may be made payable to his parents.
