Mary Scheidt

Mary Frances Scheidt, 51, of Gurnee passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 after a ten year courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 10, 1958 in Waukegan. She is survived by her loving family, mother, Vivian L. Nieves of Mt. Vernon, IL; sister, Cheryl (Kevin) Settle of Mt. Vernon, IL; brother, Wayne R. Lindenberger of Belvedere, SC; one niece, Hillary Settle; one nephew, Jared Settle, DVM; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and very dear friends; a very special companion, Jerry Schleeper and ex-husbands, Steve Scheidt and Jerry Christensen. She was preceded in death by her father, Roger F. Lindenberger and step-father, Leonardo Nieves. Mary worked for 33 years at Baxter/Caremark/CVS in Vernon Hills and then in Gurnee. She enjoyed reading, playing Pogo, computer games and vacationing with her family. Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 2:30 pm until 3:30 pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday following the visitation. Entombment will be on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 10 am at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee. Memorial donations may be made to The Humane Society of the United States and the Breast Cancer Association.
