Mary K Schaab, aged 79, passed away on October 20, 2024, in Kenosha, WI. Born on October 31, 1944, in Chicago IL, Mary lived a life marked by dedication to her community and an unwavering commitment to her faith.

Mary graduated from New Trier High School and furthered her education at UCLA. Her professional life included significant roles at Zion-Benton High School and later at the Illinois Secretary of State's office, where she was known for her diligence and integrity.

Deeply religious, Mary was an active member of The Well church in Kenosha, where she actively participated in many church-related activities including Pads, Bible Study, and Senior Saints. She was a proud member of The Red Hats Society. and the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW, reflecting her passion for service and fellowship.

Mary's life was enriched by her loving family. She is survived by her son, Thomas Schaab and his spouse Erin Finch; daughters Kelly Schaab and Deborah Merlock (Michael Fagan); bonus daughter, Gina Copen; grandchildren William, Evan, Alyssa, Miranda, Paul, Trevor, Amber, and Jake; great-grandchildren Jayden and Gian; siblings George, Tim, and Gary; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul T. Kessler and Muriel B. Kessler.

Friends and family will meet for visitation on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from Noon-1PM at The Well Church, 9001 17th Ave, Kenosha, WI 53143. A Memorial service to celebrate her life will then begin at 1PM. Mary's life was a testament to her faith and the love she shared with those around her. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
