Mary Nix

Mary Lou (Crawford) Nix, 88, of Round Lake, passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side on Friday, May 2, 2014. She was born on July 30, 1925 in Calhoun City, Mississippi to Velma and Maud (Woods) Crawford. On August 24, 1946 in Baldwyn, Mississippi, Mary Lou married Victor A. Nix, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her three loving children, Marilyn L. Kuechenberg of Johnsburg, Victor A. (Josephine) Nix, III of Round Lake and Cathy F. (John) Janney of Ingleside; ten grandchildren, Victor A. (Gina) Nix, IV, Natalie (Jay) Hartman, Joe, Molly, Haley, Casey, Tim and Victor Janney, Alex and Nick Kuechenberg; six great grandchildren, Tyler, Clayton, Brady Billy Wayne Nix, Madison, Micah and Makenna Hartman; one sister, Faye (Art) Tuley; sister-in-law, Donna Mae Litwieler of Ingleside and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 63 years, Victor A. Nix, Jr.; brother, Mager Crawford and brother-in-law, David Litwieler.

Services will be private. Entombment will take place at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee.
