Mary Brooks

Mary Theresa Brooks, 77, of Waukegan passed away on Monday, November 12, 2012 in Zion. She was born on March 29, 1935 in Spring Valley, IL to William Clarence and Mattie (Fenwick) Smith.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Paula (Joseph) Micek; very special sister, Louise Steele; brothers, William Smith and James (Sue) Smith; son-in-law, Samuel Morales; grandchildren, Michael Morales, Eric Morales, Samantha (Eddie Davis) Morales; great grandchildren, Destiny Marie, Angelina Rose and Julian Mathew. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, Mary Zeta Smith, son, Patrick Brooks, sister, Regina Smith, brother-in-law, Homer Steele and sister-in-law, June Smith.

Mary was a long-time member of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Waukegan for many years. She worked until retirement at Skokie Valley Laundry in Highland Park and loved animals. Mary was a loving, loyal wife and mother, a dedicated grandmother and a beloved sister.

Visitation will be Friday, November 16, 2012 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee. Funeral services are Friday at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville, IL.
