Marvie Hayes

Marvie Nell Hayes, 88, of Gurnee, passed away September 14, 2014 at Aperion Care in Highwood. She was born February 8, 1926 in Leland, Mississippi.

She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Lydia (Dr. Martin) Crain; grandchildren, Scott Crain and Allison Crain; many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by parents, Chancey and Laura Lydia (Graves) Mason; beloved husband of 51 years, Ellis Edwin Hayes; siblings, Rev. Estes Mason, Carl Mason, Joseph Mason, Annie Cone and Bertrice Dixon.

Visitation is Monday, September 22, 2014 from 10:30am-11:30am at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 11:30am with Dr. Martin Crain officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Anderson, South Carolina.
