Martin Walker, of Gurnee, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Northwestern Medical Center in Chicago, IL.

He was born on September 17, 1970 to Frank and De-Lois (Jones) Walker in Oak Park, IL.  On July 27, 1996 he married Diane Parker at Second Baptist Church in Maywood, IL.

Martin is survived by his wife, Diane; his daughter, Desiree Walker; his son, Martin Walker II; his parents; his siblings, Cassandra (Calvin II) Washington and Frank (Terri) Walker; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on November 21, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Warren Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and staying in accordance with current State of Illinois resurgence mitigations, all guests will be required to wear a face mask at all times.  There will be a maximum of 10 people allowed in the funeral home at a time and proper social distancing must be practiced. Therefore, only invited family and close friends will be allowed at the funeral at 11:00 am.

The family is in the process of creating a commemorative “virtual memorial” website to visit and virtual streaming of the funeral that they would love for you to attend.

Entombment will be at Warren Cemetery.

Warren Funeral Home and Cemetery is assisting the family.

Due to the abundant outpouring of love from friends, at this time the family would appreciate monetary gifts or cards in lieu of flowers. Please contact the family for more information.
