Martha Luz Kerns

Martha Luz Kerns Ramirez, 73 of Waukegan, passed away on Thursday, January 12^th, 2023 at her home.  She was born on October 28^th, 1949 in Medellin, Colombia to Marta Llano and Ruben Ramirez.  On April 20^th 1979, Marth Luz married the love of her life Patrick J. Kerns and they were married for 43 years. 

Throughout her life she enjoyed dancing, listening to music, socializing, attending church, going for walks and most importantly spending time with her family.

Martha Luz is survived by her husband, Patrick Kerns, son Alejandro Escobar, son Brian Kerns, and daughter Kristine Kerns, grandchildren are Alejandro Escobar junior grandson, Victoria Medvedovskaya granddaughter, Carmelo Truesdall, grandson, and Mia Little granddaughter.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 21th from Noon until 2:00 p.m. at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N Cemetery Rd. (located on the northside of the intersection of Tri-State Parkway and Cemetery Rd.), Gurnee, IL  60031.  The Funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, also at the funeral home.
