Marion Deadrick

Marion L. Deadrick, 92, formerly of Gurnee, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 in Westfield, Wisconsin. She was born on January 23, 1922 in Waukegan to Fred and Dorothea (nee Meyer) Shea. She married the love of her life, James E. Deadrick, on February 16, 1946 in Waukegan. She is survived by her four loving children, Sue (Bob) Hawkins, Sally Coffelt, Tim Deadrick and Amy (Ken) Thalacker; two sisters, Rose (William) Bandli and June (Don) Cermak; one brother-in-law, Norman Arnswald; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, James, who passed away in 1964; her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Denise Deadrick; one brother, Lt. Col. Eugene A. Shea; two sisters, Lois Johnson and Patricia Arnswald; one brother-in-law, Harland Johnson and one infant great-granddaughter, Pressley McHugh. Marion was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and an extraordinary gardener. Visitation is Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 4-8pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services are Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 11am at the funeral home with Fr. James Merold officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
