Margaret A. Fernhout (nee Makovec), 69, of Lake County, IL, formerly of Milwaukee, WI passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Grande Prairie Health & Rehab in Pleasant Prairie, WI. She was born on June 9, 1941 in Milwaukee, WI. Margaret married Allan R. Fernhout on August 18, 1962 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Milwaukee, WI.
She is survived by her three loving children, Gale (Alan) Jellings of Trevor, WI, Jeffery (Laura) Fernhout of Zion, IL and Terri (Tony) Vienonen; nine grandchildren, Matt, Chris and Aimee Jellings, Nicole and Coda Fernhout, Angela, Zachary, Stephanie and Jessica Vienonen; one sister, Dorothy (Gordon) Mueller and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Gertrude (Paape) Makovec, beloved husband of 48 years, Allan R. Fernhout and one brother, Donald Makovec.
She was a member of the Gurnee Community Church, Gagewood Lions Club and the Grandwood Park Civic Association for many years. She enjoyed making crafts and camping.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 19, 2010 from 4-8 pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 11:00 am with one hour of visitation prior to services. Rev. Joseph Wilcox from Gurnee Community Church will officiate the services. Entombment will follow at Warren Cemetery, Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Gurnee.
