Mandella Brackett

Today we celebrate the home going of our beloved Mandella Martin Brackett who departed this life on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. He was born in Waukegan, IL to the proud parents of Jimmie Brackett and Merlin Brackett. He attended Zion Benton Township High School. Mandella was brought up by a loving and praying mother and grandmother. Lillie Brown who preceded him in death. She provided him guidance, devotion, loyalty and pride in abundance. There are many cherished memories engraved in the heart of us. Countless people of all ages are benefactors of his generosity and loyalty. As Mandella departed this life to spend eternity on high, resting from trials, and tribulations he leaves to mourn; grandfather, Henry Williams; Brothers, David Brackett, Phillip (Alicia) White, Malcolm Lyons, Marcus (Julie) Simmons, Tim Christor and William (Josie) Gist; Sisters, Carmen Johnson, Keisha Johnson and Diana Lyons; Aunts and Uncles, Ella Wilson, Bessie Loggins, J.C. Brown, Ernestine (Melvin) Loggins, Della Sims, Harvey Christor, Johnnie Mae Brackett, Cynthia (Fabian) Eastman and Tammie Christor; a very loyal, special and dear friend, Anthony Smith; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding him in death are, loving maternal grandparents, Michael Lyons and Edith Heslop, Father, Jimmie Brackett, Aunts, Brenda Brackett and Beatrice Christor, and Brother, Peter Lyons; Uncles, Sylvester Brown and Phillip Lyons, and Cousin, James Wilson, Jr.
