Mae Florio

Mae Lenore Florio, 93, of Winthrop Harbor, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 at Northshore Skokie Hospital. She was born on December 11, 1919 in Detroit, Michigan.

She is survived by her loving sons, Terry (Vicki) Florio of Lake Geneva, WI and Dan Florio of Wadsworth; daughter-in-law, Diane Florio of Winthrop Harbor; grandchildren, Jodi (Trevor) Burnette, Lt. Jeremy (Clarissa) Florio, Zachary (Kerry Lennon) Florio, Lt. Carson (Susan) Florio and Dylan (Heather Streib) Florio; great-grandchildren, Summer, River and Levi Burnette, Emma, Quinn, Maddox, Dominic, Mason and Olive Florio, Chloe and Kyleigh Streib and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Della (Koepsel) Stevens; husband, Charles Florio; daughter, Robin Lynn Florio; brothers, Earnest, Alfred, Elmer, Jack and Donald Stevens and sister, June Mueller.

Mae was a longtime member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Waukegan, and really loved her church family. She enjoyed knitting, baking, going to church every Sunday and was an avid sports fan.

Visitation is Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 4-8pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services are Friday, October 18, 2013 at 11am at funeral home with Pastor Jeffrey Koth officiating. Interment will be at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee.
