Lucille "Lu" Strelzyk, 69, of Gurnee passed away October 15, 2013 at home. She was born January 6, 1944 in Chicago.
She is survived by her loving children, Stephen (Joanne) Strelzyk of Gurnee and Megan (David Munaretto) Strelzyk of Gurnee; Bill (Kenndra) Fairbrother of Roscoe; sisters, Betsy Yelich of Rosemont, Marge Westenberger of Arlington Heights and Dianne Popera of Des Plaines; grandchildren, Melissa Fairbrother, Matthew Strelzyk, Jocelynn Kowalski, Brian Strelzyk, Dominik Kowalski and Katie Strelzyk; nieces and nephews, Susan Yelich, Michael (Cindy) Yelich,Debbie Yelich, Peggy (Kevin) Lynch, Beth (Jim) Kelly, Kay (Chuck) Moran, Joan (Michael) Milostan, Lonnie (Jim) Cairo, Tom Westenberger, Jennifer (Allan) Ziebarth and many beloved great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Valentine and Elizabeth (Tryon) Fishburn; beloved husband of 30 years, Kenneth Strelzyk and sister, Patty Cervantes.
Visitation is Monday, October 21 from 4-8pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services are Tuesday, October 22 at 9:30am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 15000 Wadsworth Rd. (meet at the funeral home at 8am, then we will process to the church), Wadsworth. Inurnment will be at Warren Cemetery, Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Gurnee.
