Louis Murl Shorman, 76, of Beach Park passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at his home. He was born on February 22, 1934 in Waukegan to Edward and Margaret (Wolfe) Shorman. On August 18, 1956 in Waukegan, Louis married Rubye Jane Warner.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Rubye Jane Shorman; children, Cynthia (Ray) West, Mary Jane Garcia, George "Ed" (Lois) Shorman; grandchildren, Joshua, Louis, Becky, Paul, Nora and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Louis was a Korean Army veteran. He earned the Korean Service Ribbon with one bronze service star, the United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal while he served in the war.
Visitation is Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Burial is private.
