Lorraine Opitz, 94 of Gurnee, IL passed away at her home in Gurnee on Monday December 25, 2017.
She was born on May 15, 1923 in Waukegan to the late Albert J. and Sophia V. (Hein) Behn. She married George Opitz on August 26, 1939. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2003. Lorraine worked for Illinois Bell Telephone and as the office manager for her brother, Albert J. Behn, M.D.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening and shopping. Lorraine enjoyed being Williams and Sonoma's number One Customer.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter; Sandra Hassforth, her son-in-law Thomas Nemeth, her grandchildren, Michael Hassforth, Andrew (Elizabeth) Nemeth and Daniel Nemeth, her great grandchildren, Max, Alexandra and Abigail Hassforth. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter Debra Lynn Nemeth and her grandson Mark Hassforth.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Warren Funeral Home located at 1475 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. with visitation from 9:00 A.M. until time of service. Father James Merold Officiating. Burial will be at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville, IL. The Family is being assisted by Warren Funeral Home.
