Lee Eugene

Lee A. Eugene, 73, of Beecher, IL passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, IL. He was born on January 21, 1938 in Chicago, IL. Lee is survived by his four loving brothers and sisters, Daniel (Patricia) Eugene of Schaumburg, IL, Judith Taxis of Crete, IL, Joan (Jim) Butryn of Wood Dale, IL and Gene (JoAnn) Eugene of Wausau, WI; eight nieces and nephews, Cynthia, Kevin, Kathleen, Linda, Brooke, Crystal, Max and Alexis; four great nieces and nephews, Lauren, Lindsey, Skylar and Cody. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur J. and Anna Marie (nee Travis) Eugene and one brother-in-law, Duane Taxis. Lee worked as a machinist for The White Cap Co in Chicago his entire career, and took an early retirement after 40 years of service with them.
Lee was always very popular with his friends. In younger years, he enjoyed bowling, and was captain of his teams. He took care of his mother his entire life, was an avid reader, loved books, movies and enjoyed watching television. He also loved football & hockey, particularly the Chicago Bears & Chicago Blackhawks. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home, 9568 Belmont Avenue, Franklin Park, IL. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor William R. Swanger officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, IL. Arrangements entrusted to Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL.
