Leah DeVaughn

Leah Marion DeVaughn, 59, of Gurnee passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. She was born May 1, 1953 in Chicago. She married Ralph DeVaughn, Jr. on December 22, 1973, Chicago. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 39 years, Ralph; mother, Katherine Clardy of Chicago; two children, Damone (Alana) DeVaughn of Antioch, Dana (Edward) Whittaker of Lombard; one brother, James (Vivian) Clardy; one sister, Deborah Glaser; aunt, Marion Baker; cousin, Suszanne Baker all of Chicago; five grandchildren, Jaden, Jackson, Jordan, Vanessa, Edward and five nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James Clardy. Leah was a Registered Nurse Manager of the I.V. Department at Midwest Regional Medical Center in Zion until 1993. Funeral services are Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 1:00pm at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee with visitation services from 12:00pm-1:00pm. Entombment will follow at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee. Donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
