Lawrence Philipp Jr., 92, passed away at ManorCare in Libertyville, IL on Thursday April 12, 2018.
He was born on March 31, 1926 in Wausau, WI to late Lawrence and Ruth (Gunther) Philipp Sr.
Lawrence married Jean Herberger on September 28, 1952. She preceded him in death on November 18, 2011. He was employed at Johnson Outboard Motors for over 30 years and worked as a courier for The Bank of Waukegan for 20 years. Lawrence was in a band called "Kitchen Klangers" where he played the spoons. He was known as "Happy Feet" because he loved to dance. He was the ultimate Green Bay Packers fan and shareholder.
He is survived by children; Dirk (Michelle) Philipp, Julie (George) Carpenter, Marcie (Greg Bonczkowski) Dixon, his grandchildren; Christopher Philipp, Mark(Tracy) Philipp, Joey (Katie) Philipp, Amber (Mike) Devora, Kelly (Patrick) Howell, Colleen (Josh) Moore, Katie (Armando) Martinez, Amy Bonczkowski, Kimberly Bonczkowski, great grandchildren; Tyler, Natalie, Riley, Ryan, Gage and Paxton.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his brothers; William "Bill" Philipp, Donald "Don" Philipp, his sister's; Gloria Mathis, Ruth Ann Bratzke and Diana Hansen.
Visitation will be Sunday April 15, 2018 from 3-7 P.M. at Warren Funeral Home located at 1475 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL. Funeral services will be Private. Burial will be at Warren Cemetery.
