LaVerle Grace Coon, 85, of Waukegan passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Vista Medical Center East, Waukegan. She was born on April 17, 1926 in Waukegan. On December 27, 1943 in Waukegan, LaVerle married James Joseph Coon.
Survived by her loving husband of 67 years, James; daughters, Madeline Jo MacKay, Dr. Patricia (Robert Organ) Coon of Billings, Montana and Jessie (Ray) Garcia of Zion; sister, Darlene Bialeck; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Grace (Duddles) Drinkwine, brother, Sonny Drinkwine and sisters, Frances Pizzala, Marilyn Holden and Dolores Archibald.
LaVerle was a real partner to her husband. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be forever missed.
Services are private. Entombment at Warren Cemetery, Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Gurnee.
