Larry Wahlquist, 69, of Gurnee passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Highland Park Hospital, following a champion battle with a very challenging cancer. He was born May 31, 1943 in Chicago.
He is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne, sharing 24 years together; son, Michael; grandson, Michael; two daughters; brother, Robert and his arm-chair cushion, his fabulous feline, Kurt. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry was a United States Army veteran. He loved and rescued animals, collected antique toys and clocks, and his wife dusted them off every week. Larry loved his family, friends and clergy who supported him through his ordeal with cancer.
Visitation is Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 5:00pm-7:00pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services are Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 7:00pm at the funeral home. Interment is private.
