Ladislaus Chojnacki

Ladd Chojnacki, 66, of Gurnee passed on Friday, March 18, 2011 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born on July 4, 1944 in Chicago. On January 31, 1970, Ladd married Patty Shanahan.He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Patty Chojnacki; children, Nicole Chojnacki of Gurnee and Andrew and Megan Chojnacki of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two grandchildren, Kyleigh and Jayden; two sisters, Carole (Larry) Josefowicz of Apache Junction, Arizona, Jackie Berkley of Wonder Lake and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Frances (nee Sikora) Chojnacki and brother-in-law, James Berkley.Ladd served for four years in the US Air Force. He worked and retired from IBM after 35 years of service and was a volunteer for twenty-one years at the Boy Scouts of America. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL. A funeral mass will take place on Monday, March 28, 2011 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Rd., Gurnee, IL with Fr. Ray Clennon officiating. Friends and family may meet at the funeral home Monday, March 28, 2011 at 9:00am, and then there will be a procession to the church for mass. Entombment will follow at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee.
