L. Tyler

L. Ruth Tyler, 78, of Waukegan went home to be with the Lord on November 25, 2015 at home. She was born on February 7, 1937 in Cottonport, LA to Rufus, Sr. and Lillian (Crockett) Jackson. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her four children,Linda Tyler-Brown, Kenneth Tyler, Sr., Bea (Michael) Foster and Yumeka M. (Anthony Foster) Tyler; 19 grandchildren, Shuquanda Tyler, Dorian Hibbler, Tavares Tyler, Robert Bunch, Torsheill Hibbler, Kenneth Tyler, Jr., Brenda Pipes, Kenyatta Tyler, Delaney (Laskya) Lewis, Kumay Williams, Robert, III (Mary) Williams, Virginia Williams, Davond Pipes, Eunice Tyler, Dwight Lindsay, Zachary Kimbrough, Ezekiel Tyler, Jalawrence Holden and Aizia Holden; 53 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; 5 sisters, Ammie Jackson, Rebecca Jackson, Cynthia Jackson, Ollie Owalaja and Jean Stackhouse; 2 brothers, Neal Ray (Barbara) Jackson and Garland Jackson; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends, Rosa Tuck and Jerutha Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Beverly G. Tyler; grandson, Demetrius Tyler and granddaughter, Amy Williams. Ruth worked as a Dietician for more than 35 years at the VA Hospital in North Chicago. Visitation is Friday, December 4, 2015 from 10am-11am at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11am at the funeral home. Entombment at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee.
