He was born on September 26, 1952 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Darrell & Barbara (Paldani) Waughop. Kurtis enjoyed drag racing and muscle cars.
Kurtis is survived by his son Tim Henson and his girlfriend Amy Rice, his grandchildren, Aurora and Brett Henson, his great grandchild, Lachlan Nowlin, his brother Kenny Waughop, his sister Karen Waughop, his nieces, Kristin Waughop and Ashley Linda Alva, and his nephew James Alva
