Kenneth Elmer Hulteen, 71, of Gurnee passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born on October 22, 1938 in Evanston, Illinois to the late Elmer Emanuel and Ida Christine (Nordlund) Hulteen.
He is survived by his wife, Selma Hulteen; six children, Steven Hulteen of Gurnee, Illinois, Alyn (Denise) Hulteen of Loganville, Georgia, Gere (Vera) Hulteen of Wauconda, Illinois, Deborah (Scott) Hodge of Gainsville, Georgia, Daryl (Brandi) Hulteen of Gurnee, Illinois and Randy (Debbie) Hulteen of Gurnee, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren, Tony, TJ, Andy, Rebecca "Christine", Corey, Sarah, Kelsey, Hannah, Autumn, Billy, Haley, Jayden and Liah; three sisters, Nancy Olson of Deer Park, Illinois, Joyce Cardinell of Victoria, Texas, Linda (Gene) Lindquist of McHenry, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, Illinois. Funeral services will take place at 12:00 noon on Saturday at the funeral home with Bishop Hal Munson officiating from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Gurnee, Illinois. Burial will follow at Warren Cemetery & Mausoleum, Gurnee, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in care of Daryl Hulteen to help pay for the final expenses.
