Kenneth Breitung, 94 of Gurnee, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on January 14, 1925 to the late George and Helga (Johnson) Breitung in Chicago Illinois.  Ken served in the United States Army during WWII in the European Theater.  On May 27, 1950 he married Doris Fisher in Joliet, IL.  She preceded him in death on November 15, 2010.   They enjoyed many activities, but especially playing golf and their time in the Lions Club in Waterloo, WI.  Ken was a member of the IBEW for 65 years in Local 150.

Kenneth is survived by his son Scott (Pat) Breitung, his daughters, Lynn Breitung and Kelly (John) Queram, his grandchildren, Mike (Jamie) Breitung, Jacob (Sarah) Harvala, Matthew (Jennifer) Harvala, Dana (Michael) Ignoffo, John (Katrina) Queram, Joe (Tawny) Queram, Bobby Queram and Kate Queram, as well as 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Doris, his parents and his brother, George Breitung.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Warren Funeral Home located at 1475 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL.  Funeral services will be private.

Entombment will be at Warren Cemetery.
