Karen Ridgeway

Karen Denise Ridgeway, 60, formerly of Waukegan, passed away in Jacksonville, Florida on September 12, 2020.

She was born on January 21, 1960 to John and Ruth (Robinson) Ridgeway in Waukegan, IL.  She was jokingly known to her family as “Boss Baby” as she was the glue of the family.

Karen is survived by her mother Ruth (James) Harris, her sons, Derrell Taylor and Aaron (Juanita) Ridgeway, her brother Darnell (Karen) Harris, her sisters, Laverne (Brian) Cole and Lisa Ridgeway, 6 grandchildren 1 great grandchild and a special friend Furman Russell.

She was preceded in death by her father John, her sons, Robert and De’Andre Ridgeway, her brother Daryl Harris and her sister Tammy Ridgeway-Orsby.

Visitation will be from 8:00 to 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Warren Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 1475 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL 60031.  Funeral services will be private.

In accordance with current State of Illinois mandates due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all guests will be required to wear a face mask at all times.  There will be a maximum of 50 people allowed in the funeral home at a time and proper social distancing must be practiced.  We thank you for your cooperation.

Burial will be at Warren Cemetery.
