Julio Matos Sr

Julio Matos, Sr., 88, of Waukegan passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. He was born on July 22, 1924 in Puerto Rico to Marcolo and Anita (Villalobos) Matos. In 1944, Julio married Ana Maria Rolon in Ciales, Puerto Rico.
He is survived by his two loving children, Julio Matos, Jr. and Ana Rosa Matos; three grandchildren, Amy Annette (Luis) Rosales, Miguel Antonio (Cris) Torres, Tammy Belinda (Able) Davila; six great-grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Rosales, Carissa Rosales, Brianna Rosales, Janessa Victoria Torres, Anthony Joseph Kristan, Isaiah Samuel Davila and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 60 years, Ana Maria Matos on December 22, 2004; three brothers, Jose Villalobos Matos, Antonio Villalobos Matos and Virginio Matos and two sisters, Maria Matos and Rosaria Matos.
Julio was a United States Army veteran.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL. Funeral services are Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Warren Cemetery, Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Gurnee, IL.
