Josephine Pressley

Josephine Pressley, 83, of Waukegan passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Highland Park Hospital in Highland Park, Il.

She was born on December 19, 1935 to the late Samuel and Daisy (Quarles) Davis Sr.  She married Thelma Pressley.  He preceded her in death on September 17, 2007.  She was a member of Brother’s After the Order of Jesus Church in Zion, IL.  She was known for her enthusiasm for gaming, her good cooking, her zest for life and always being on the move, but her greatest love of all was spending time with her family.

Josephine is survived by her daughters; Jacqueline (Rodney) Young, JoAnn Pressley, and Sandra (Richard) Hanna, her grandchildren; Laturria (Anthony) Pressley-Mathis, William Cory Pressley, Clarence Kevin Pressley, Sharron (Maurice Jr.) Bugg, Katie Hanna-Pressley, and Katrina Hanna-Pressley, her great grandchildren; Robert, Alexis, Caleb, Ashleigh, Ashton, Ryan, Elianah, Maurice III, Bradley, and Savanah, her siblings; Dorothy Davis, Nathan Davis, Margaret Williams, and Carol Ann Williams, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, along with a very special friend, Linda Shaw.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thelma, her parents, Samuel Davis Sr. and Daisy Williams, her siblings John Mack, Jessie Williams, Samuel “Snook” Davis Jr. Charlie Davis, and Videtta Lucious.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to Noon on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Warren Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 1475 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL.  Funeral services will be held at Noon at the funeral home.   Brother Garfield Grace will officiate.

Entombment will be at Warren Cemetery.
